The Denver Children’s Choir participated in the Romano Picutti Festival to launch a Mexico-U.S. bicultural exchange with other prestigious children’s choirs from Mexico, such as the Schola Cantorum de México, the Niños Cantores de Morelos, Cenzontles del Tepeyac, and the choirs of the Escuela Secundaria Anexa a la Normal Superior. The children’s choirs participate in the Festival, jointly prepare a series of concerts, and share their experiences, based on the conviction that music is a privileged space for cultural exchange. The Festival’s performances took place at CENART, the Ollin Yoliztli Cultural Center, the Rafael Ramírez Auditorium at the Secondary School Annexed to the Normal Superior, the former Basilica of Guadalupe, and the Teopanzolco Cultural Center in Morelos.
