In 2024, muralists Baltazar Castellano and Edgar Cano painted two murals with the participation of students from the University of New Orleans; the 45-square-meter mural titled “Memorias Compartidas” (Shared Memories), located next to the French Market in New Orleans’ historic district, stands out for its bicultural integration. This mural has a significant visual impact and will remain a part of the collective memory of New Orleans residents and visitors alike, as well as part of the city’s artistic heritage.

Workshops on printmaking and mask-making were also held, as well as lectures on African heritage and Mexican muralism.
