Son de Madera, a Jarocha music and dance group, aims to strengthen Mexico’s presence in the U.S. through a series of concerts and to highlight the connections between Jarocha music and jazz by participating in major festivals in Louisiana. The artists also performed at the opening ceremony of the NAFSA Annual Conference (the International Association of Educators).

In addition, they conducted workshops and master classes for musicians and music and dance students at various universities.
