Through its tours of the United States, the Minería Symphony Orchestra is undertaking a cultural diplomacy initiative driven by the conviction that the language of music is the ultimate common ground, with the aim of strengthening the bonds of friendship between the two countries and cultures. In October 2023, the orchestra performed in several U.S. cities as part of the Bicentennial of Mexico-U.S. Diplomatic Relations. In 2024 and 2025, it performed at the prestigious Bravo! Vail festival.

In addition to its performances, the orchestra aims to offer free concerts to Hispanic communities in the U.S., as well as workshops and master classes for musicians and students—activities that include discussions on the influence of folk music traditions on the Mexican symphonic repertoire.
