AMPEI’s Curricular Internationalization Program is based on the COIL (Collaborative Online International Learning) methodology, which creates multicultural educational environments in which faculty members from at least two countries work together to develop modules that emphasize collaborative learning using information technology, allowing students to have cross-cultural experiences without having to travel abroad. The course content is interdisciplinary; professors jointly develop the content, which is delivered in a hybrid format. Students attend their regular course at their respective institutions, which already incorporates the COIL component. This enriches the online activities they undertake with students from the other country, providing them with a valuable international experience without leaving their home countries.
