Founded in 2010, Jóvenes en Acción is an initiative that promotes youth leadership, social change, and ties between Mexican youth and American culture. It is aimed at high school students in public schools across Mexico and offers them the opportunity to study in the United States and develop their leadership skills in Mexico by implementing projects aimed at social change. This initiative is a joint effort between the U.S. Department of State and Mexico’s Ministry of Public Education, with the collaboration of the business community and institutions such as Fomento Educacional, A.C.
